Regenerative Energie
After three years of negotiation between the institutions of the Community on 29 May 2006 the new Regulation (EC) o 1013/2006 on Shipments of Waste has been passed by the Council.
The Regulation becomes valid and directly applicable in the Member States on 12 July 2007, thus substituting the first EC regulation on transfrontier shipment of waste (Regulation (EEC) No 259/93). This article attempts a first analysis of the re-enactment and briefly outlines the major amendments in relation to the current legal situation.
