Regenerative Energie
In Germany, many landfills were closed in May 2005 to meet the requirements of German legislation.
For the planning and implementation of the closure and aftercare period, aerobic in-situ stabilisation will be included to improve the medium and long-term emission behavior. Besides surface sealing and water infiltration for humidification purposes, this stabilisation method is a promising step to reach several objectives, such as the significant reduction of costs and of the duration of the aftercare period. Therefore, many landfills offer the possibility to implement this method.
