The quantity of waste to be pre-treated is currently exceeding the available capacities for pre-treatment. This proportion will probably be reversed into the contrary until the year 2008, i.e. overcapacities for the quantity of waste to be pre-treated are expected by then.
The market situation for substitute fuels turns out to be different. The currently lacking capacities will in all likelihood not be completely compensated for in many years. Based on this, the question comes up how - and especially for how long – un-pre-treated waste and substitute fuels can be put into interim storage.
