The European Compost Network ECN is very pleased to welcome you to the ASA conference. As an organisation that is acting all over Europe and as a cooperation partner of the ASA we are looking on this conference in an international context.
Here we are looking upon a rapid increase of the mechanical-biological treatment of residual wastes. With an actual amount of nearly 20 million tons the treatment ca-pacity of MBT plants in Europe has already reached or passed by the capacity of bio/green waste composting and digestion plants for separately collected organic wastes. The parallel development explains why a compost network is committed to the MBT option.
