Regenerative Energie
For flood management in Baden-Württemberg three particular strategies are addressed: flood plain management, physical flood protection and preventive flood protection. Crucial for well-aimed actions for all strategies is information on the flood hazards, shown in flood hazard maps, which are available for the whole land up to 2010.
Flood hazard regions are protected by detailed measures of regional and urban planning as well as the new law has a core instrument in protecting flood areas by law. To strengthen a broad awareness of flood hazards, especially for the communities, flood partnerships were founded in 2003 in all catchments of Baden-Württemberg.
