The principal philosophy of this project is providing the solution to the follow problem: Is it possible to stop the harmful emissions (gases and leachate) in the next 25 years from the old landfills? Due to the lack of good oxygenation in municipal landfills, CH4 and odour emissions, leachate production and irregular distribution of air (channelling effects) in the landfill is observed. A possible solution has been proposed to manage the problem of aeration of municipal landfills.
Hence, Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) shall be a new option as an oxygen source for aerobic microorganims; becoming basically the organic decomposition in Aerobic decomposition. The Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) solution chemically oxidizes the available VOCs to carbon dioxide (CO2), free chlorine and water (H2O). Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidizing agent that can be used for diverse applications. It is due to the different ways in which the power can be directed (Selectivity). By simply changing or adjusting the conditions of the reaction (parameter such as: pH, temperature, dose, reaction time and catalyst addition), the Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) can oxidize one pollutant over other. Depending of the objective, H2O2 may be used alone or in combination with other processes to enhance their performance. In the last decade, the H2O2 have been used in some environmental applications as: Waste Water Treatment, contaminated soils and some sludge treatment.

© Lexxion Verlagsgesellschaft mbH (6/2025)
In the context of the European Climate Law (EU) 2021/1119), the Governance Regulation (EU) 2018/1999 and the Nature Restoration Regulation (EU) 2024/1991, the KAnG came into force on July 1, 2024.
Transformatives Klimarecht: Raum, Zeit, Gesellschaft
© Lexxion Verlagsgesellschaft mbH (6/2025)
This article contends that climate law should be conceived as inherently transformative in a double sense. The law not only guides the necessary transformation of economy and society, but is itself undergoing transformation.
